Sarah is currently working on her PhD in American Studies at Washington State University. She is the first person in her family to pursue a PhD. Her areas of study are primarily race, class, and gender as they play out in the field of popular culture. Her favorite activist-intellectual is Tim Wise.

Sarah enjoys the microbrews of Oregon & Washington, the rolling hills of the Palouse, and autumn in New England.
