English 300 students, this portion of our website is for you.
English 300 is a 1.0 credit Pass/Fail course. It is taught as a series of workshops covering a variety of programs in the lab. When signing up for workshops, we reccomend you try to group them in ways that build on each other. For instance, if you are interested in web page design, you might take a Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop workshop. Dreamweaver for creating web pages and Photoshop for manipulating digital images to add to your web pages. If you are interested in creating movies, you might take GarageBand, iMovie, and Adobe Photoshop. GarageBand so that you can write a score for your movie, iMovie so that you can create the movie, and Adobe Photoshop for learning how to manipulate digital images.
To pass English 300, you must complete three Workshop sequences; for example, you might choose to do Dreamweaver 1, Photoshop and Dreamweaver 2. To get credit for completing a Workshop, you must attend one of each session and complete all the assigned work. For example, to complete the Dreamweaver 1 Workshop, you would need to attend one instance of session 1, one of session 2 and one of session 3 and complete the projects assigned. We encourage you to attend as many Workshops as you are interested in, but you must attend a minimum of three in order to pass English 300.
